Thamsanqa Simphiwe Khumalo

  Thamsanqa Khumalo is a 30-year-old multidisciplinary artist from Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal. With a strong foundation in the arts, Thamsanqa pursued his passion at the Creative Arts College in 2016. He later earned his National Diploma in Drama and Production Studies from the Durban University of Technology in 2021. As a talented actor, Thamsanqa has performed in numerous theatre productions. His growth as an artist led him to transition into directing, where he has successfully helmed seven shows: Ijazi, Oxamu, Careful, Umuzi Kababa, Between Brothers, Bucket List, and Cursed. Thamsanqa's expertise extends to stage management, with credits including Voice of Emma, Itshe, and Zemqadini. His exceptional work earned him the Best Stage Manager award at the Courtyard Theatre in 2021. With his impressive body of work, Thamsanqa continues to make significant contributions to the South African theatre landscape."
